Confusion

A HEADLINE WE DO NOT EXPECT TO SEE:
UN ENFORCES RESOLUTION WITH SANCTIONS.

A HEADLINE WE DO EXPECT TO SEE:
MORE BRIBES SUSPECTED AT UN.

CONFUSION

Here is the topic of the day!

Confusion is the key word.
We are not sure what is going to happen in Israel and Lebanon.
Where would you send a message to Hezbollah? They are not a country; they are not a member of the UN and are not bound by agreements with it. We only think we know who the head of the group is; he is a cleric who wants to kill many of us if not all of us. He teaches his followers that their supreme being will give them carnal rewards in heaven and it is honorable to kill us.

Word coming out of Israel is that the troops fought under difficult and confusing conditions. The people are unhappy with the truce agreement and more so as they learn more about it. They blame their prime minister and the United States and in particular, our president.

Militarily our best approach would have been to assist Israel and help them win. We need to consider the influence of Iran and Syria as suppliers and enablers. However, we followed the wishes of the critics and worked for a diplomatic solution and now we will be blamed for that.

We are one of the most powerful nations in the world and we are fighting the financial interests of the two other strong nations plus two that are on the verge of being a serious problem and another that is emerging as a serious problem.

You know who I mean. China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela and don’t forget France. Which of these are interested in financial gains and how many are ready to buy influence in the UN?

We can look for a strong leader to take us out of this mess but no country has faced a problem with these same conditions or as serious.

Congress needs to get beyond the politics and work for a solution. This is a time when men and women of quality will place the safety of their constituents ahead of their own political aspirations.
Who among you can lead us like Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, JFK or Regan. Bush has the dedication but he lacks the confidence of the nation to back a bold solution. Many will say the confidence was stolen from him by powerful interests. Those interests are too selfish to give it back and he has about 2 years to go. We cannot wait for a new leader to emerge. If Congress does not pull together, the failure of our nation will be placed upon them by historical reflection.
